Can Solar Lights Work in the Dark

Yes, the panels charge batteries that will allow it to work in the dark, until the charge runs out.. .Yes. They put out light in the dark of night and then they charge up when the Sun comes up.. .Solar lights collect solar photon energy during the day through their solar panel. This energy is converted into electricity and stored in the rechargeable (usually Ni-Cad) batteries. A photocell sensor detects whether there is sunlight available or not and acts to switch the lights on based on this. The electricity stored in the battery is regulated by a control board and, at night, the charged batteries provide power for the LED light. Once daylight returns, the panels repeat the process of charge.

IBM Thinkpad T20, I want to use some car batteries... how would I do this?

If you want longevity but not portability, please plug in the power cable to the power socket. You can run the notebook until the power to your home is cut or your notebook dies. But to answer your question directly, I do not think it's a good idea.

How would i power multiple guitar food pedals without batteries?

Yes. there's pedalboards and boxes which provide power for multiple pedals

How to use car batteries for breadboard projects?

THOSE SMALL LEAD ACID BATTERIES FROM YOUR LIST CAN PROVIDE AS HIGH AS 30A CURRENT WHILE ACCIDENCELY SHORT BOTH TERMINALS. BURNING THE BREADBOARD WITH SUCH POWER SOURCE AS FAST AS IN SECONDS. UNLESS, AS A SAFE WAY TO USE THEM, INSERTING A 2A FUSE TO LIMIT ITS CURRENT BEFORE LINKING TO BREADBOARD POWER INPUT. THIS WAY, FUSE BLOWS AND CUT OFF 12V POWER IF YOU MAKE MISTAKE ON BREADBORAD CIRCUIT. 12V CAN BE CHANGED INTO 9V POWER SOURCE BY USING A SIMPLE VOLTAGE REGULATOR IC CALLED LM7809.

How the batteries in the vehicle recharged during moving?

Your vehicle has an alternator, this is similar to a generator. As the engine spins, it drives the alternator which sends power to the battery

iGo electric screwdriver batteries type?

if it takes batterys then u should be able to open it some how and then u can tell just on size alone and normally its written on it but if u see a hole in it some where than it probably is a rechargeable driver then u need to find the charger and its not a good idea to open it

Does brand matter for AAA batteries?

not really.. but some brands are better quality and will last longer than others

Are my batteries safe to use after I made their contacts touch each other and it triggered a sound and a smell?

If was just accidental short circuit then you just release some watts in the atmosphere. You should do a watched full charge. Anyway the charge controller should tell you if is gone. If it is not, carry on and be more careful next time. If they got hot then you just damaged them and you should replace them

How long will these batteries last if the radio has a resistance of 200 ohms?

I came up with the same formula as Bill but with 133.3 minutes rather than hours: 240 / .03 = 8000 8000s / 60s/m = 133.3minutes = 2.22 hours Interestingly, the article below (quoting another article!) states: "The amount of charge that travels through a typical alkaline AA battery is about 5 kC = 5000 C = 1400 mAh. After that charge has flowed, the battery must be discarded or recharged." If that were true, we would have 4 * 5000C / .03C/s = 6.67E5 s = 6.67E5s / 3.6E3s/h = 185 hours = 7.7 days. .

Solar controller with BJT transistor and PIC24 microcontroller to charge 3.6V NiMH batteries

tl,dr: In your case, you do not seem to need charge control at all, and it is more complicated than you seem to sink because of various reasons. Just put a 1N4001 between the solar cell and the battery. The NiMH battery is a quite low impedance, pulling as much current from the solar cell as available at the cell voltage. During charging, it is likely around 1. 4V/cell. This is an output voltage of 4. 2 Volts, so in bright sunlight, you likely exceed the 170mA quoted for the maximum power point, expect something like 200-220mA, which is below C/10 of the cells. I have no idea how you want to do NiMH charging control at widely varying charging currents that never exceed C/10 (no -deltaU, no dT/T seems applicable, but let's ignore that).First thing to notice: Your circuit will not work as drawn. You drew a NPN transistor. It needs a voltage at the base that exceeds the emitter voltage (by around 0.6V) to make it conductive, but the uC has no access to provided the needed 4.8V (battery voltage 0.6V). You need an PNP transistor instead. In that case, you need to to provide current from the base terminal to a more negative sink. Also, you would connect the emitter to the solar cell in that case. Note that to turn off the transistor, you need the base voltage to go up to 0.5V below the unloaded solar cell voltage, this is around 8V. Start with the desired collector current (220mA maximum cell output) and take a look into the transistor data sheet. Let's choose a BC327 for it's higher current rating compared to the typical 100mA transistors. Take a look at figure 4 (Saturation region) if you want to have low losses on the transistor, which seems like a good idea now (but see later). They have curves for 100mA and 300mA collector current. As we do not have a lot of energy to waste, choosing a base current at the low end of the neary flat end of the saturation voltage curve is a good idea, which yields something around 4mA if you interpolate between the 100mA and the 300mA curve. To turn in the transistor, at 4.4V solar cell voltage, 200mV transistor drop, and 4. 2V battery voltage, you need to sink 4mA at 4.4V-0.6V (emitter-base voltage). To turn it off, base must rise to 8V (see above). This means, you need a pull-up resistor between base and emitter, providing the turn-off voltage from the cell instead of the uC and a diode (1N4148 will do) to protect the uC from that high voltage. So the circuit looks like this: PNP with emitter to solar cell, and collector to the battery. A resistor connecting emitter with base (the value does not matter much, and something around 100k will provide enough pull-off effect without disturbing the circuit while the transistor is on), a diode and a resistor in series to the uC. The uC needs to sink 4mA to turn the transistor on. This results in an output voltage of 0. 4V. So the resistor has to sink 4mA while having 0.4V above ground on the uC end and 3.8V above ground on the diode end. 4mA at 3.4V is 850 ohms. So 900 Ohms in your circuit does not seem off that much. You will not be happy at all with that circuit for different reasons, though: Constantly sinking 4mA takes too much of the charging current (getting 220mA outdoor on a bright sunny summer day is one thing, on cloudy days, being inside, expect something like 10mA maximum), and you are wasting 4mA of that just to turn that transistor on. Furthermore, when it gets dark, the solar cells draw power due to their leakage current and discharge the battery by operating the transistor in reverse mode (collector acts as emitter, base current is provided by the solar cells and the 100k resistor meant as pull-up, and the emitter acts as collector). Common wisdow is you need to protect against that, for example by putting a diode between the collector and the battery. You will lose voltage there, though. Another possiblity would be a "secondary pull-up" that will pull the base up, even if the emitter supply (the solar cell) fails to provide power, by connecting a resistor from collector to the base terminal. This resistor has to be low enough to pull the base up against the 100k that pulls it down, so go for something like 20k there. Of course adding all these resistors does not make the thing more efficient.Actually, your charging current is very low compared to cell capacity. As estimated above, you only get to C/12 on extraordinary good conditions, you the charging current can safely be considered as "trickle charging" unless you put the device into the beam of a bright headlight 24/7. You do not need any charge control. You just need to prevent discharge through cell leakage, and this can be povided by a single diode between solar cell and battery

Use One Solar Panel to Charge Two Small, Identical Batteries
Use One Solar Panel to Charge Two Small, Identical Batteries
These things are the dumbest solar charge circuits possible. See a tear down here cell to reverse protection diode to 6x series AA NiCD battery pack. No charge controller. It depends on the battery pack getting trickled charged, and being stronger than the solar panel.Connecting the same panel to two lights will cut the current to both, and likely tripling the charge time (it won't be exactly half). The built in diodes on the input board will prevent one battery from charging the other, just as they prevent the battery from back feeding the solar panel in normal use. No modification or precautions needed. These lights will already deep discharge the batteries over night as is, which is why NiCD are chosen. Their runtime will be reduced due to less power charging them.FYI you can buy similar panels from overseas online for a few bucks. Probably from the same place HF gets theirs.I purchased the following solar security light kit a few weeks ago:Harbor Freight #69643Mounted system, worked great. FYI, the lamp uses a 6V, 900mAh, NiCd battery pack that is recharged with the included solar panel. I'm presuming that the controller is integral to the lamp assy, but I could be wrong (i.e. said controller may be integrated into the solar panel assy).Well, we had a hail storm last week that totally destroyed the solar panel.I have verified that it is NOT possible to purchase the solar panel separately, so I am considering the following scheme:Purchase another security light kit - same model as the original purchase. I'd now have one solar panel assy and two lamp assy's. Next, I'd attach the two lamp assy's to the solar panel assy using a dc power splitter cord. Now, I'd have both lamp assy's wired in parallel. My questions: Would this charge both batteries? I'm presuming that a larger recharging current would be routed to the battery with the lowest open circuit voltage. If the controller is mounted in the lamp, I'll have two controllers downstream of the cable split. If the controller is mounted in the solar panel component, I'll have one controller upstream of the cable split. What Powers a Solar Street Light? the Same Thing That Starts Cars Every Day. Rechargeable Batteries!
The new kids on the block are starting to take the world by storm, and are only going to grow in popularity and efficiency. No, they are not a pop sensation of teens singing songs of growing up and high school sweethearts. The new kids are solar street lights that will bring energy production and dispersement directly at the site of the light itself. Solar street lights have come a long way since their piecemeal configurations of large solar panels and inefficient luminaires. Today, companies such as SolTek Renewables are working to supply customers across the globe with a new generation of area lighting that is on par and above the standards of conventional lighting methods. Their lights use CREE LED fixtures that are highly efficient, safe to use, generate minimal heat and produce illumination (in foot candles) that often exceeds traditional non-LED luminaires. With these positive aspects, the most cost-effective energy source to power LED luminaires is by employing sealed lead-acid gel rechargeable batteries, much like what is in most cars on the roads today. So, why use a lead-acid battery as opposed to a Lithium battery? First, the cost of lead-acid batteries is within the economic realm of most users. Their capacity is high for the size and initial investment, so they are the chemistry of choice for solar street lights. Being that the batteries are essentially car batteries (and comparatively priced), they are 95% recyclable and have a typical life-span of 5 to 7 years. Coupled with a smart controller that regulates the charge from the battery to the LED fixture at night, lead-acid batteries have a system autonomy of anywhere between 3 to 6 days (typically toward 6 days). This means that the solar panel will collect photons (light) from the sun in a span of 2 to 4 hours and charge the battery to capacity. At night, the light will illuminate with a steady discharge from the lead-acid battery as specified by the controller. If the following 3 to 6 days are occluded with thick cloud cover or stormy conditions, the battery will continue to operate as intended over the next 3 to 6 days until it needs the 2 to 4 hours of sunlight to get a full charge again. What does this mean for regions where sunlight is more likely to be out more than once every 6 days (realistically, how often, if ever, does that happen)? It means that illumination autonomy can be achieved by users/owners of solar street lights. It means that you are now 100% energy efficient with regard to generation and use. It means you are using 100% renewable energy. It means local energy generation, thus eliminating the dirty energy of coal and oil sources. It means savings for your local economy as you have eliminated fees incurred by local utility companies (they can raise the rates all they want, you are not paying a penny to them with autonomous street lights). It means it can happen now (2 months installation from factory to site). It means that you save money from the get-go as you have eliminated trenching and expensive wiring to the utility grid. Stay tuned for our next blog on the CREE LED luminaires that are used in the solar street lights from SolTek Renewables. Reliable, clean and effective lighting is here to stay.1. Solar street lighting is a unique opportunity for sustainable recovery | GreenbizThis article is sponsored by Signify. In response to the economic fallout from COVID-19, the European Union has formulated a major recovery plan for the continent with a key focus on adapting to the digital age and investing in cleaner and more resilient technologies for the future. In the U.S., the 2021 American Jobs Plan aims to steer $2 trillion into productivity and long-term growth, including a strong focus on building resilient and climate-friendly infrastructure. With economic and climate resilience plans taking a more concrete shape across the globe, Signify believes that solutions such as solar lighting pave the way for countries to build back better. According to Allied Market Research the global market solar energy was $52.5 billion in 2018 and is set to grow to $223.3 billion by 2026, vastly accelerating the scale of renewables. One of the fastest growing solar technology segments is street lighting. "Solar street lighting technology has come on leaps and bounds in recent years and is fully aligned with the goals of EU and U.S clean energy and economic stimulus initiatives. Just 15 streetlights can save enough electricity to power a home for a year," said Harry Verhaar, global head of government and public affairs at Signify. "Being a digital technology, it can be connected to sensors and be controlled remotely, enabling forward-thinking municipalities to leapfrog to solar and reap the benefits of the digital age." President Joe Biden's administration already has proposed $621 billion of additional investment in transportation infrastructure, with $20 billion earmarked to improve road safety and $174 billion for electric vehicles. A sizeable chunk of the latter would be spent on grant and incentive programs to build a national network of 500,000 electric vehicle charging stations by 2030. Signify advocates specifically for the wide adoption of solar and solar hybrid powered street lighting which will not only help improve road safety, but also pave the way to lower emissions and eliminate the need for extra power stations to power the street lamps. This is particularly useful in more remote areas where existing infrastructure is minimal. With the strain taken off power stations, excess capacity could be diverted towards supporting charging stations for electric vehicles. Solar is the ideal technology for serving far-flung communities with intermittent power supply or coverage. For example, in 2020, Signify installed solar streetlights on the Greek island of Leipsoi in areas lacking full electricity coverage including a playground, allowing the community to feel safer. A total of 28 autonomous Philips SunStay luminaires were used, each combining a solar panel, an LED light, a charge controller and a battery in one housing unit. The lights also contained an infrared motion sensor which detects movement and alters brightness accordingly, increasing energy efficiency and minimizing light pollution. "As we have many hours of sunshine throughout the year this is a very effective and functional solution for those areas on our island that are not connected to the power grid," said Fotis Mangos, mayor of Leipsoi. "The lights have such an aesthetic design that they seamlessly blend in with our island's natural landscape." The electricity grid does not always follow the street layout on the island and the solar installation allowed for an inexpensive, unobtrusive and environmentally friendly way to light roads and pathways without needing to dig trenches for electrical cables. "Solar lighting is a key part of our commitment to sustainability and to climate action, as we aim to help people move to cleaner technologies," said Signify's country leader for Greece, Polydefkis Loukopoulos. "The expansion of solar lighting in new areas of Greece strengthens our vision to provide local communities with the security that results from high-quality solar lighting." With the addition of hybrid technologies, solar lighting is a feasible solution in areas with only seasonal sunshine, allowing countries at higher latitudes to access its benefits. This technology broadens the market for solar power. A version of solar is available beyond sun-soaked countries to around 6.5 billion people in the world. According to Antonio Espada, head of public segment in Europe for Signify, solar hybrid street lighting is the best of both worlds. It uses sunlight to charge its batteries and on cloudy days seamlessly switches to electricity from the grid. It's highly energy efficient and increases the use of renewables and balances electricity loads. The battery power can be used during peak hours so fewer power stations are required. "Solar and solar hybrid power streetlights are particularly well suited to countries and regions where power outages are common. It can help deter crime and contributes to safer, more resilient communities," added Verhaar. Ultimately, solar lighting is an accessible, efficient and future-proof solution for community development, and one which could hugely benefit global recovery on both sides of the Atlantic. Discover more on how lighting can help to meet Green Deal targets.2. The solar street light is not bright, what is going on?The installed solar street light is no problem. It will not be easy to light up for a while. It is necessary to check the indicator light of the controller first and see the status of the indicator light of the controller to identify the shortage. If there are 2 indicators If it is not bright, the controller will be damaged early, and the system will be destructive to strong current values, such as lightning or short-circuit faults. 1, The light source is damaged Due to the natural environment or the cause of the human error, the light source is damaged, resulting in the solar street light system not working, when the light is not bright, flashing, etc. Solution: Check the light source or replace the light source. 2, Solar photovoltaic panel damage Connect the digital multimeter to check the working frequency when the solar photovoltaic panel has no load. The general system working voltage is 12v, which is generally higher than the 12v working frequency. Only when the working frequency is higher than 12V can the battery be charged. 12V cannot charge the battery. The solar street light system cannot work or has insufficient working hours. Solution: Disassemble the solar panels. 3, The solar photovoltaic panel positive and negative plugged into the wrong After the solar garden light reinstalls the system, it always lights up once. When the battery is used up, the solar garden light is no longer easy to light up. Solution: Replace with the positive and negative electrodes of solar photovoltaic panels. 4, Battery damage Connect the digital multimeter to check the working frequency when the battery is not loaded. The general system working voltage is 12.8v, which is generally higher than the 12.8v working frequency. If it is lower than 12.8V, the battery explosion-proof switch can not be charged and discharged. The solar street light system cannot work or has insufficient working hours. At this time, everyone must use the charging plug to charge the battery. If the battery does not charge enough power, be sure to remove the replacement battery. Up and down is the reason and the treatment method of the relevant solar garden light is not bright. To solve this, to ensure that the natural light garden light is no problem, the punctual solar power circuit lamp manufacturer maintenance inspection is essential. As a professional manufacturer of solar-powered circuit lights, we will provide consumers with a permanently free service to provide maintenance and repair services for consumers. Details of the baby-related to the solar garden lights.3. Recycling light from solar street lights.?Solar cells are not very efficient so only a small part of the light could be captured as electricity. Otherwise it would be perpetual energy which is impossible

A 15A. breaker WILL hold 2150 Watts for quite a while, (thermal trip is time delayed to cover short term overloads), but if it doesn't trip out at all at that load over time, it's faulty. Recheck that load and if it's accurate, stop using the circuit until the breaker is replaced.2. Poll: lights on or lights off?on but really low3. 18th birthday party... "club theme"... need ideas!?Sounds like fun! You could set up a photo booth...just someone with a digicam or a disposible camera to take pics of you and your friends. Also, a disco ball and lights would be cool. As far as poker is concerned, you do not have to have a dealer if you have friends/family who know how to deal. Just take turns dealing or flip a coin every half hour. You could do blackjack also. As far as non-alcoholic drinks go, vigrin strawberry daquiris are my favorite, but you can also make a cool punch with rainbow sherbert and ginger ale. Happy birthday!4. Ultimate Christmas Light Design GuideThis article is for the people who use outdoor Christmas lighting as a means of coming together as a family, building memories, and drinking copious amounts hot chocolate and cider. Follow these instructions for show stopping displays. Begin by quickly sketching out a plan of the area you want to light. I am not talking scaled drawings or anything (although you can if you want), I am talking about selecting the features you want to focus on so you can start planning accordingly. This should be a side profile view of your home, just real basic. See how the image above of the blue house the lighting highlights the pathway to front door and outlines the shape of the house with roof line accents. You will actually need this for reference in future years when you want to re-install your lights, so even though the sketch should be simple, be sure to include measurements, especially of roof lines, and include the number of strings of mini lights you end up using for items such as trees and bushes. Keeping careful track of the resources you use and where they are placed will save you dozens of hours in the future trying to recreate the amazing display you create this year. You can also add new lights on to your plan in subsequent years. You may need to make multiple pages, one for each side of your home if doing more than one side. In a previous article, I discussed some basic lighting principles for the type and quality of lights to use. I wo not be repeating that information here, so if you need some guidance, be sure to check it out. In this image, I zoomed in on the A-frame. At the peak, just above the wreath, you will notice there is a light right on that point. Start your light string in the center at this point. Run your bulb wire down to the left and right, then trim the wire as needed with a pair of wire cutters. Attach male and female plugs at either end of the the bulb wire. This is where the blank wire comes in. Use the blank wire to create jumper cords that go from one section to another. At the bottom of the A-frame, on the left, you can barely see the jumper cord that connects the frame to the eve below. This is how you get perfectly fit trim, eve, and facia board lines. You can also use a wire tee, say from the peak of the A-frame, to run a short jumper cord down to the wreath and the window. That's also the beauty of of using LED lights. It is easy to create one continuous circuit all the way around your home with only a single plug in point. When you want to attach your lights to the roof, you can easily attach the lights without any tools by using one of the clips in the second image (a, b, or c). All the clips are designed to attache to your shingles, and I prefer the style in option C because it points the light out and down (facing the observer) which tends to be a little better when using LED. Simply attach the clip to the bulb on the bulb wire, and slide it under the shingles. Gravity and friction do the rest. When I was a kid, my dad and I went crazy with lights. We had every color thrown all over the yard, and my favorite was the big, incandescent c9 multicolored twinkle bulbs. What a stunning display. But something strange happened as I got older, I began to shift away from color towards preferring white. So I put these two images here so that you can get a feel for how color and clear lights look on a home. It all comes down to preference, and for many people, who use lights as a way of making fond memories that last lifetimes with their children, multi-colored might be more appropriate. And for others who simply want to be bathed by warm light on a cold Christmas night, you may prefer the clear lights instead. You might be thinking that LED lights typically stink when it comes to making warm colors, and for the most part, you would be right. But then again, that's the great thing about using commercial quality lights. They make cozy warm LED lights that look just like incandescent bulbs that used to rule the market a few years ago. Nothing really complete a display like a well-wrapped tree. There are three basic options, and each depends on preference. I favor the use of mini-lights to wrap a tree tightly, as in the branch wrap image. Basically, tight coils of mini-light wire are wrapped over and over around the trunk and up to the branches. You have to be careful when doing this, however, because even small trees such as the one in this image, can easily use 1,000 lights or more, much more, depending on the size of the tree and number of branches being wrapped. Again, use blank wire to run a jumper cord up the tree to the first branch fork. Let that be the central plug-in area of your tree. From there you can plug in your commercial grade mini-lights and wrap the tree down to the ground. For small trees like the one in the image here, plan on at least 200 lights for the trunk, and at least 100 lights for each branch you want to wrap. There is another mini-light option that can save some money, but mostly it saves a lot of time. That is draping lights on the ends of the branches, kind of like a lot of people will do with their Christmas Trees. Personally, I do not think the end results looks quite as nice, but considering that it can take a couple hours to wrap a small tree and maybe 15 minutes to drape a few hundred lights, there is a definite pro/con trade off happening there. The last option, and in some ways, one of the coolest, is using c7/c9 bulbs to light the tree. This is done much the same way as wrapping mini-lights, but the effect is strikingly different. Get a few twinkle bulbs to mix in and you will have a stunning display. Spend the extra few bucks to get a good photocell timer. If you used your sketch correctly, you should have been able to map out all your connections around the property and should be able to run all your cords to one simple location. The real challenge is if you can power everything in a single loop with 1 cord using jumpers from your main line to all your trees and bushes. Either way, a single cord or power strip can plug into your timer which will automatically come on when it gets dark out, and you can program to run for 4-8 hours through the evening, turning off around midnight or so. Let's be honest, just because you think your house looks fantastic, does not mean your neighbors want all that light flooding in their windows all night long keeping them awake. So be a good neighbor, do not waste power, and turn your lights off around midnight.
Rechargeable Batteries for Solar Lights?
If there is a Batteries Plus near you, give them a call. They might have the batteries you need in stock, or get them quickly. That's where I got mine. Hope it helps— — — — — —AA batteries... is there a way?Take a good look at your batteries. I am sure they have a warning not to recharge them. There is a good reason for that. The chemical reaction in regular batteries is ONE WAY. Once the chemicals are used up there is no way to restore it. Trying to recharge them will only cause you grief. Replace them when they die or consider rechargeables. Most devices that use AA batteries will work just fine with rechargeables even though the battery voltage is a bit lower. In fact, regular battery voltages drop too so they may start at 1.5 volts but end up closer to 1 volt when they die. Unless you are using the batteries to power something you use only once in a while - like a flashlight, I would go with rechargeables myself— — — — — —how do i fix a depleted camera battery? The batteries loose power every time that you either use the batteries sit over time or constantly use the set of batteries which eventually the batteries would become dead. Solution: You would either REPLACE or CHARGE the Batteries back up.— — — — — —How to Change the Batteries in a Buzz Lightyear Action FigureThe first Toy Story movie came put in 1995 - if you've got a battery powered Buzz Lightyear toy from 1995, you will likely have changed his batteries more than once already! Maybe your Buzz Lightyear is new to you or perhaps he's a model from the 2019 movie and this is the first time the batteries have run down. Whatever the scenario, the process for changing the batteries in a Buzz Lightyear action figure toy is the same. See below for details.— — — — — —Current flow in batteries?I think another thing which might be confusing you is that we say the voltage in a conductor is always constant. While this is mostly true it is kind of a lie. All conductors still have a finite resistance. Because of this if you hook up a wire between the two terminals of a battery one end of the wire will actually be at a different potential then the other and the current in the wire will follow ohms law. I do not know if you've ever tried shorting the two terminals of a battery like this but because the resistance of the wire is so low ohms law gives a very large current which will heat up the wire and burn you. Now the reason that we usually say that the potential in a wire is constant is because there are usually other components in our circuit whose resistance is much larger then the wires. Because of this most of the voltage will end up being dropped across the other components in the circuit and there will only be a very small voltage drop from one end of a wire to the other. So we can simplify our problems by saying that the voltage is constant in the wires— — — — — —Diode OR 4 batteriesNo, a diode circuit as you describe wo not automatically balance the load across the batteries in the manner you describe.Note that everything below this comment only applies if those packs are raw LiIon packs with no internal regulation. If they are internally regulated, then all bets are off. It will work more to keep the state of charge of all four batteries more or less equal as they discharge. However, if you have three bad batteries and one good one, that good one will take the load. If you have three halfway discharged batteries and one fully charged one, that fully charged one will take the load. Etc. There's a good chance that if you take pains to get lots of four batteries and use them together (i.e., charge them at the same time and always load all four at once into your rig) that a simple circuit as you describe will mostly do what you want, because the batteries' voltages and the diodes' drops will be close enough together that the batteries' internal resistances will handle the match. If you want to absolutely enforce a rule to "do not take more than 10A from any battery, ever", then you will need some sort of fancy power supply management circuit, and it will probably have to be custom made for your purpose.
Batteries for Solar Garden Lights?
The instruction on mine say any rechargeable is okay. I had some old ones and they worked fine1. Should I mulch my garden? If I were you I would cover your strawberries with a thick layer of straw (not hay) and then uncover it by pulling it back around the berry plants about April 15 to April 30th, weather depending. Too wet and the plants rot, too cold and they freeze. For the flowers what I like to do is after cleaning and pruning the plants back for the winter I like to cover it all up with about an inch of fresh bark mulch. The perennials will push up through that in the spring and then all you have to do is fluff it up a bit here and there and maybe freshen it up around the edges.2. Swamp Rose Mallow grown in regular garden? You can try growing some of the seeds from the plants that you find. All Hibiscus are water lovers an require a lot of water to do well. I have a hardy variety growing in a garden along the south foundation of my house. I water it well when we do not get any rain. I would try it anyway and, who know, you might just get some great plants. You may want to amend the soil to hold more water by adding some clay, peat moss and vermiculite. These things will help your soil retain more water.3. When to mulch a new perennial garden?Mulch serves the following purposes: Preserves soil moisture. Keeps weed seeds from sprouting. It will not kill existing weeds. It will not keep down perennial weeds (ones that have roots hiding in your soil). You should weed out any weeds that appear before you mulch. There should be no problem putting a light mulch (1" or so) over most perennial plants. In any case, you should not snug a thick mulch (3-4") up to the stems of perennials (or shrubs and trees for that matter). Make sure that the soil is not dry when you mulch or you will be keeping rain and watering away from the plants. If some of your perennials are very small, you should leave that area of your garden unmulched until they sprout up which they should do very soon.4. where can I get round pebble stones for my garden?Hobby Lobby. They have it all5. Olive garden or Macaroni grill?Olive Garden def6. Japanese Garden?some nice decorative stones black furniture water feature a bonsai tree and red azaleas and pergola in black and a few orchids lovely also a few lanterns and in a special place Buddha7. Best things to plant for a vegetable garden?Tomato's are always great, fast growing, low maintenance although you might want to get one of those cone shaped trellis things to give it a bit of support. Bell peppers would fit your criteria well. Green beans grow super fast, but they require something to climb on.8. Any creative ways to sneak in Gerber garden vegetables?Sounds like a good opportunity to get her off the convenience food and onto real stuff. 11mo is pretty old for mush, and why try to convince her to develop a taste for stuff so foul her own family wo not eat it? If you do not want to be stuck with the slop -- donate it to a food bank.9. Poll: Are you growing a vegetable garden?Yes. We are already picking ripe cherry tomatoes and broccoli!10. If Satan was the tempter in the Garden of Eden when he tempted Eve with the forbidden fruit, ?Satan is a group of fallen beings not just one. The forbidden fruit represented the learning of knowledge something the god of Eden forbidden for unknown reasons. Yahweh was the god who judged Satan he judged a group of fallen gods not just one called Satan.11. What about the tree in the garden? On the contrary our Creator did not know that Adam and Eve would fail. He could easily have chosen to know since He sees into the future, but in order for free will to exist, He chose to let them decide for themselves and sadly, we know the outcome! As for John 1:1 this is a deliberate twist on scripture to make it appear something that is not true. Jesus is and always will be the SON of God. The truth is that this scripture should read: and the Word was A god. How we can tell this is a false hood on the scripture is when one read further down the page, well there we read that Jesus is the son of God and that is why trinitarians fall flat because it would mean a complete changing of the bible in order to fit their falsehood!
Can I Use Any Brand of Aa Rechargeable Lithium Batteries in My Solar Lights?
Are you talking about LIthium-Ion batteries?1. How much electricity will be consumed by a scooter with a 500-watt motor coupled with a 48V 28Ah lithium battery, if itu2019s charged for 5 hours? How much electricity will be consumed by a scooter with a 500-watt motor coupled with a 48V 28Ah lithium battery, if it's charged for 5 hours?A battery of 48V with 28Ah capacity has a total energy storage of 1,344Wh.If you want to recharge this 1,344Wh in 5 hours, then you'll need 1344/5 = 268.8W This equates to a 48V charger delivering 5. 6A for 5 hours. How much electricity will be consumed by a scooter with a 500-watt motor coupled with a 48V 28Ah lithium battery, if it's charged for 5 hours?2. How much lithium will kill you and what is the death like?Well, the toxicity level depends on a lot of factors so I won't get into that here. The symptoms of toxicity are typically GI distress and CNS distress like nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Eventually it can lead to brain damage, coma and death. That's for lithium drugs (typically lithium carbonate). It acts on the CNS because it is similar to sodium with is essential for neurotransmission.Lithium metal is highly reactive with air and water. When finely divided, it can combust. In water, it dissolves similar to Sodium, creating a strong alkali solution and releasing flammable hydrogen gas. Plus a lot of heat.Lithium ions, as found in batteries, is mainly dangerous because the organic solvent used is flammable and poisonous. How much lithium will kill you and what is the death like?.3. How does a metal get considered precious in a market? When something becomes more useful, such as Lithium becoming more useful in the energy storage market, the demand for it (desirability) increases relative to the amount of it that exists. This is one aspect of preciousness. "Preciousness" usually has connotations of being rare also, but in market terms it means the supply can not meet all the demand. How does a metal get considered precious in a market?.4. Are there any compatible medications for lithium & high blood pressure?Lithium interacts with many classes of blood pressure medications, including ace inhibitors, angiotensin receptor blockers, methyldopa and calcium channel blockers. These are the most commonly used blood pressure medications and considered first line. Blood pressure medications that are not known to interfere with Lithium include the beta blockers (e. g. Metoprolol, Atenolol, etc. ), alpha blockers (e. g. Terazocin, Dozazocin, etc. ), Minoxidil, and Hydralazine. The beta blockers, alpha blockers, Minoxidil and Hydralazine are considered second line for blood pressure and one of the first line medications are recommended first unless there is a contraindication. Just because a medication interacts with Lithium does not necessarily mean that you cannot use it. If you do use one of these medications, then your Lithium levels should be monitored and the dose adjusted if needed. You should discuss it with the doctor that prescribed the new medication. Good luck5. Side effects of Lithium Carbonate?i am not a dr but I think maybe lithium is not the drug you should be taking. Should you keep taking it I strongly urge you have routine blood work drawn to make sure you stay at a safe dose. I gained 40 pounds on lithium then lost it all within 6 weeks of being off of it! Oh and the McDonald's probably plays a role in it too!.6. How to extract lithium from it's core?do you mean ore rather than core?7. Why is the Bajaj Chetak Electric scooter overpriced?Any new technology is priced very high initially, because of the massive cost sunk into R&D. That is the price you pay for being an early adopter, you are entering new territory which few others dare enter. Despite this high cost, it's probably that manufacturers are losing money on these. EV technology is still in infancy, battery technology being the major cost center. Lithium is an expensive metal to extract and there are finite ores from which to mine lithium, and a few countries have a monopoly on lithium production. EVs are going to be expensive for several more years to come. So why sell? If no one does anything due to the high initial cost of R&D vs meagre sales revenue, we would still be using horse carriages and bullock carts. Why is the Bajaj Chetak Electric scooter overpriced?
How Long Does It Take for Batteries to Charge in Solar Lights?
3 = 4 hourss1. how do solar lights work?Solar lights collect energy using a small solar panel, also called a photovoltaic cell or a solar cell. These cells are made of a semi-conductor, which is usually silicon. Semi-conductors are materials which are sub-metallic, and under certain conditions, will act like a metal and allow current to flow. When light of certain wavelengths strikes the electrons around an atom in a solar cell, the electron becomes excited and gains enough energy to break away from the atom and "jump into the conduction band". When this happens, it leave a "hole" which is filled by another electron, but this electron had to come from somewhere right? This movement of electrons produces a current. In those solar powered garden lights, this current used to charge a battery which will power the light during the night. The light also contains a sensor which will sense when the sun is no longer up, and turn the light on.2. How long does it take for solar lights to charge? This entirely depends on the type of and capacity of the batteries, the power of the solar cells, the amount of hours of sunlight available. Further more it will also depend on the actual led(s) in use3. Solar lights aren't working when my electrical lights are on!!!?solar lights are set to come on in the dark and the light from your other lights is hitting the sensor (not necessarily on the solar panel)4. Can solar lights can be used at night on airport runways? No. They are not bright enough and they dont stay "charged" for long periods of time generally. They are useful in places like cemetaries and on sidewalks and such because they are usually only needed for the dusk and early hours of darkness where airport runways are used all hours5. What can i do about hispanic neighbour he keeps running over my Outdoor Solar Lights because he keeps cutting?uhm fighting fire with fire is not good. report him to the authorities. trying to pop his tire will put you in legal jeapordy as well. i would hope you were more mature than that6. 10 Best Outdoor Solar Spotlights Reviewed (May 2021)There are several reasons why you should buy solar lights. First, solar lights are environmentally-friendly. They use a renewable energy source, which is sunlight. They cut down the carbon footprint, saving the planet's natural resources. Also, they are a cost-efficient option compared to conventional lights, reducing your overall electricity bills in the long run. They save you installation costs as well because it is easy to set them up without any professional help. They also require little-to-no maintenance, and it is fairly simple to keep your solar lights functional for a long time, proving a convenient choice. The best outdoor solar spotlights from our list are available in several styles, so most people can find an option to suit their aesthetic preference. You can find that they come in different colors and allow easy adjustment, including low and high brightness settings to complement the mood. How to find the best outdoor solar spotlights? To get the best solar-powered outdoor lighting for your garden, you need to go through all the important features carefully. First of all, you need to set a budget range and look for reliable options within that range. After that, you need to consider the space you are looking to illuminate to estimate how many of them you need and how bright the solar lights should be. For this purpose, considering features like the number of LEDs, the output and brightness of the lights, and the available colors are important. To find the best outdoor solar-powered LED spotlights, you can refer to the buying guide below. How many lights to buy? You need to carefully consider the outdoor space that you want to illuminate because it helps you determine how many lights you will require to light up space as brightly as you want. For larger spaces like the pool area or a garden, you need more than 2 pieces, so the ROSHWEY Outdoor Solar Spotlights can be an ideal option. At the same time, for the porch or the steps, even two lights are enough. Their performance also depends on the number of LEDs each piece has and the brightness and output of those LEDs. If your solar lights are bright, you will need fewer of them. Number of LEDs in each spotlight The number of LEDs translates directly to how bright each spotlight will be and shows the overall lumen output. This is an important consideration because it determines how dimly or brightly lit your exterior space will be. If you need a dimly lit cozy space, fewer LEDs will work perfectly. Considering the number of LEDs in a single light also has relevance to where you want to use them. Larger spaces require powerful lights. Therefore, you will need more LEDs in a single spotlight. For example, the DBF Outdoor Solar Lights offers 18 of them in each spotlight. If the spotlights have only one or two LEDs, the output will be limited, and you will have to buy more pieces to light up your exterior space. Solar spotlights are available in different colors and variations. They can include bright white light, blue-tinted shades, a warm white glow, yellow light, and other multicolored options. Most of the options on our list let you choose from three different color settings, such as seen with the LITOM 12 LEDs Solar Landscape Spotlights. The color temperature of LEDs is measured in Kelvin. LED bulbs with lower temperature cast a warmer shade of light that is less bright and more soothing. Thus, warm lights like the InnoGear Solar Lights work best for gardens. Higher temperatures give whiter light shades that are sharp and enable high visibility. The height of an outdoor solar-powered spotlight comprises the height of the stake and the height of the light itself. To prevent the spotlights from swaying and falling, you must make sure that the stake is installed in the ground properly. That way, it will withstand harsh winds and rain. The stake should be at least 3 inches under the ground for it to stay stable. The LITOM 12 LEDs Solar Landscape Spotlights with their 8" stakes ensure optimal installation. The light output of a solar spotlight is determined by the power and the number of LEDs used, and it determines how brightly they will be able to glow. Outdoor solar spotlights can have an output range from 100 to 600 lumens. Also, you can also control that if your model comes with brightness adjustment settings, letting you decide how dim or bright you need your spotlights to be. Solar spotlights with up to 600 lumens of light output are perfect for use near houses and for residential purposes. For instance, the Linkind 16 LEDs Solar Landscape Spotlights are the brightest on our list. Next, the output also depends on the battery charge. In cold weather and days with sparse sunlight, the output of your solar lights may be lower. The battery capacity of a solar-powered spotlight is important to consider because it directly translates to the number of hours it will stay lit when fully charged. Apart from that, it also tells you a lot about the quality of the battery of your solar light. The battery capacity is represented in ampere-hour (Ah) or milliampere-hour (mAh) and indicates the amount of energy that the battery can store. A battery model with higher capacity lasts much longer. In our reviews, you can find that these products offer about 8 to 10 hours of runtime, depending on the output and the brightness setting. The premium Itscool Solar Spotlights goes beyond that and stays on for up to 16 hours. This is a crucial feature to consider, especially for outdoor solar lights, since they are subject to all kinds of weather conditions and have to stay functional for a long time even in rainy, windy, and snowy conditions. The weather resistance of an outdoor solar light depends on the materials and construction. It is important to find a solar light with a waterproof rating of at least IP 55. Do note that IP 65 certified solar lights, like the DBF Outdoor Solar Lights, are better and more resistant to water damage. Outdoor solar lights that are constructed with durable and sturdy materials, like ABS plastic, cast aluminum, and stainless steel, can easily withstand harsh weather conditions. The flexibility and adjustability of the solar panel and spotlight are important for them to function properly. The solar panel should be moveable to face the sun directly to it to produce more energy. A fully charged battery will make them able to glow for a long time and keep your exterior spaces lit when it's dark. The solar lights should also be rotatable so that you can change their position even after installation.
Batteries for Solar Lights
Solar lights are powered by rechargeable batteries. They are charged during the day by solar panels affixed to the fixture. These batteries are designed to withstand a minimum of 1000 deep discharges which is at least 1000 nights of light. They are readily available and easy to replace. You merely open the compartment, pop them in and you are set.The preferred batteries for solar lights are either Nickel Cadium (NiCd) or Nickle Medal Hydride (niMH). They are preferred because they take a charge easily and last throughout a typical night without draining completely. NiCd batteries are very durable and reliable. They can be charged fast using a typical battery charger to restore power quickly. They can also be charged slowly making them an ideal candidate for charging with a a solar panel on a solar light. NiCd batteries should not be used for a short time then recharged. This result in a crystalline formation inside the battery which diminishes its performance. This is referred to as the "memory effect".The niHM batteries are the next level up from NiCd batteries. They cost a little more but offer up to 40% run time. The biggest advantage of NiMH over NiCd is their ability to accept a charge at any time without suffering from the "memory effect". These also can be charged rapidly or slowly making them a good candidate to power your solar lights. It has been said that when you first get your battery you need to run them through at least 3 full charge/discharge cycles before putting it into ordinary service. This will help obtain maximum capacity of the battery. For solar lights , you can put them out in the morning in a sunny area and by evening they will be ready for service.
