What Is the Situation of Solar Street Lights USA?
What Is the Situation of Solar Street Lights USA?
About the situation of solar street lights USA,in Wichita Falls, northern Texas, USA,there are still more than 5,700 high-pressure lamps, metal halide lamps, mercury lamps, etc. In order to replace all the traditional street lamp with LED lights, the local government plans to cooperate with some renewable energy companies to the street light which is changed to LED solar street lights USA.So far, have nearly 2,500 sets LED street lights in Wichita Falls. The Wichita Falls government is planing to change all of the 2,500 sets street lights to solar street lights USA. It is estimated to cost about 3 million US dollars. The renewable energy company will use the high quality solar street lights USA. Life expectancy is up to 20 years. The renewable energy company said that after the replacement is completed, it will save 2.85 million kilowatt-hours of electricity per year for the city of Wichita Falls. As a result of research, LED street lights with high color temperature have an impact on human health and wildlife. Colder color temperatures such as 4000K or 5000K will produce more blue light, which is related to the low chance of sleep or even cancer. Therefore, it is recommended that the forsolar street lights USA color temperature should not exceed 3000K. The light emitted by such a street lamp is a warm white light. In addition to the city of Wichita Falls, the American City Alliance (NLC) has also assembled 35 towns in southeastern Pennsylvania to jointly contribute $13 million to convert public lighting equipment to solar street lights USA. As a result of fundraising purchases and reduced energy consumption, participating governments will save $1.4 million annually in energy budgets. The city of Lansdale also participated in the fundraising plan. The original city government was limited by budgetary shortfalls. In the past few years, it was replaced with LED bulbs when the bulbs were damaged. However, after participating in the project, it is expected to install 2,600 solar street light USA devices for a million dollars. How EnGoPlanet solar street light can be good for universities and schools?University's executive leadership and facility managers are now placing enormous value on sustainability projects that save energy and broaden environmental awareness of global warming beyond the classroom. These projects offer colleges and universities a number of ancillary benefits beyond the obvious goal of reducing carbon emissions, and often save money in the long run as well. Chief among these benefits is reducing the cost of energy. Additionally, since lighting costs often make up a large portion of a university's energy spend, renewable lighting solutions should be explored. With extensive grounds and numerous buildings to illuminate, the lighting bills can add up quickly. Solar panel technologies have made it possible for campuses to significantly decrease lighting installation costs and eliminate the electricity bills associated with outdoor lighting. The economic appeal of solar lighting will only increase as the prices of solar modules, batteries and LED lighting continue to decline. LED technology has become extremely efficient and has a long product life when compared with traditional types of lighting such as sodium vapor and fluorescent lighting, therefore significantly decreasing operations and maintenance costs, while continuing to deliver a bright, crisp white light that does not fade in intensity. Solar-powered lights also provide high quality light for more than five days without a single ray of light due to advancements in battery technology. Solar lighting is a public demonstration of an iuniversity's commitment to a "green" orientation, allowing a university to project an environmentally conscious message throughout the campus When Odessa College in Odessa, Texas, an 80-acre campus with more than 11,000 students, chose to install solar lighting instead of traditional grid-tied lights, the university executive team's main concern was with the safety of students and staff walking to and from classes across a sprawling campus. In particular, students felt unsafe in the parking lots and on their walks to campus, prompting the search for a cost-effective solution. However, the existing buildings and landscape also played a large role in the ultimate decision to go solar as the installation of grid-tied lighting would have required prohibitively expensive trenching and wiring. Since solar outdoor lighting does not require a connection to the electrical grid, the advantages of solar lights were immediately apparent. Additionally, the money saved was a pleasant upside that will continue for years to come. Odessa was able to save around 20 percent of the cost of a new system at the time of installation due to the avoidance of the wiring and trenching needed for traditional grid-tied lights. Because the systems are 100 percent solar powered, the lack of electricity bills is saving the university more than $8,000 per year, without even taking into consideration the savings on operations and maintenance costs. In addition, EnGoPlanet Solar street light has many useful features that students, professors and guests of university or school can use, such as USB charging ports, Wireless Charging, bench. The conlusion is that reliability that EnGoPlanet Solar street light offer really help students feel safe at all times in and around their campus.
Creativity and Place
A body in motion precedes a mind in motion. Is what I told myself as I set out on foot in search of the perfect location in which to work on the writing phase of the AiR project. I auditioned a number of places from my living room to the Spruce Street Hammock Park and in each place I felt like my brain was bifurcated into two architecture firms, each commissioned to build half a bridge and meet each other in the middle of the river, but as we know from Abe Lincoln, a bridge divided cannot stand. Half of my mind bridge, the half that did the storytelling in the Smokies, is made of azaleas, branches, and mottled light. The other half, the half that is trying to write those stories in Philly, is made of metal, concrete, and noise. How, I wondered, do I stay true to the spirit of The Smokies when there are three power saws and six car horns ringing in my ears and the only vista is from the onramp to I-95?Even the book I was reading, Satin Island, takes place in a city. The main character, city dweller that he is, is all sharp angles; he changes his mind abruptly, is constrained by his own moral rigidity, and physically walks down many, straight corridors, and as a result the book reads like its shape: rectangular. This is not surprising seeing as cities are made up of boxes. We live in box shaped homes, commute in box shaped cars and trains, and the city itself is divided into box shaped plots of land. Location and creative expression are a feedback loop, each influencing each other. In the mountains, the feedback loop is different. Mountains are all curves and asymmetry and stories from the mountains are as windy, airy, and lilty as the land. Imaginations can certainly run wild in both cities and mountains but my own imagination, which gets claustrophobic and hyperventilaty in boxes (I like curves, dots, and, for the record, odd numbers), tends to run in one direction, that of the Worst Possible Scenario. I will grant you, The Worst Possible Scenario for this project being that I have to write stories about mountains while staring at a bunch of 90 angles listening to intermittent power saws is not exactly cruel and unusual, but I would like to give my imagination a little more fodder than that when writing stories about cloud lands and bear cub spirit guides. Now, I know what you are thinking: "Why did not you write rough drafts of these stories while you were IN The Smokies?." You have a good point. I should have done that. But I was busy being IN The Smokies. Besides, there's no use crying over spilt ambiance. I did not even know until my last few days in the park that writing was going to play a major role in this project and by the time I would figured it out my dance card was filled. Lesson learned.I have one year to complete a project that is tangible and lives at the park, which gives me plenty of time to get back out to some mountains for a while to write, but I want to start working on it now while the images, scents, sounds, and stories are fresh in my mind so for the last few days I've set out on foot to find a place to write that engages my imagination and puts my saw-sensitive nerves at ease. What I have have learned is that no matter where I walk to I am still in a city.My friend Sarah recently send me an article (from which both quotes in this post are drawn) that confirmed much of what I've felt in the last decade as I've cultivated loving but creatively unsatisfying relationships with the cities of Washington D.C., NYC, and Philadelphia:"A 90-minute walk through a natural environment had a huge positive impact on participants. In a survey taken afterwards, those people who took the natural walk showed far lower levels of brooding, or obsessive worry. The control group who spent that 90 minutes walking through a city reported no such difference."I know, I know, I am an artist, it's my job to be creative whether I want to be or not, whether I am where I want to be or not. And yeah, that's a pretty luxurious position to be in, but it's also a job. If a carpenter does not have a hammer it makes the job of building a house infinitely more challenging. Tools vary from trade to trade but they are essential to getting a job done. Nevertheless, there is work to be done so I have no choice but to fall creatively in love with somewhere- anywhere- in the city. Now, as pretty much anyone on the planet can tell you, you can not force love. But you can cultivate it. I've spent the last two years looking for things to love in this city and I've found them; from the gnarled tree grove at Penn Treaty Park to the cemetery on Belgrade with all of it's solar lights that looks like a little, outdoor, ghost rave at night. There is a crack on the wall in one of the studios at school that looks like Tigger and a hole in the floor on the way to our dressing rooms that I think leads to another universe.I fell in love with these places because I wanted to. Because I had to. Because in order to draw inspiration from the city I need to make meaning and mystery here. I have to work to love cities whereas I feel lovingly worked upon by mountains and forests. Wilderness I cannot help but love. I will chase it until I die. It is the Romeo to my Juliet; "My love as deep; the more I give to thee, The more I have, for both are infinite."However, I have another year of grad school and I do really and truly like cities so here's the metropolitan game plan: Keep falling in love with things. As many things as possible, as often as possible. Philly may not be my soulmate metropolis but it's great for doing boxy things like "getting organized" and "applying for grants" and it is filled with opportunities for cultivating creative love. Just last night I visited an open kitchen sculpture garden that has been built by and for the people of the community and which has as much heart as any national park I've been to. The national parks protect lands and animals, which I hold to be vitally important, but this sculpture garden (which is an actual garden with actual soil) in Philly protects and provides peace for the people of the community and while it might not be the perfectly serene place to write that I quest for it is an inspirational, connective force in this world and a community I am proud to be a part of. Maybe I will do a story share here and bring some of my mountain story skillz to bear the bearless, urban world. The bridge between city and mountain life might be tough to, well, bridge, but it's all one ecosystem and as long as I am a part of this world I am going to do my best to get to know it all, be it a city hammock park, a local sculpture garden, or a national park. Does this solve my writing problem? Probably not. I still focus and write more freely in quiet, nature-y space, but remembering that it is all connected makes it easier to tap into what I love about The Smoky Mountains portion of the ecosystem, which does not feel so far away as it did yesterdayResidential Solar Lights | Best Outdoor Solar Street LightsResidential Solar Lights are becoming more popular as a way to light areas without the use of general electricity. How Are Smart 30 Watt Led Solar Street Light Different From Traditional Street Lights?
As soon as the intelligent 30 watt led solar street light is launched, it has been loved by the majority of users, and the prospect is very much expected in the industry. So, what is the difference between smart 30 watt led solar street light and traditional street lights? Today, professional solar street light manufacturer MARS Solar will give you a detailed introduction.Intelligent 30 watt led solar street light are composed of solar cell panels, solar cells, special controllers for solar street lights, wifi modules, surveillance spherical cameras, cameras, light sources, and light poles. During the day, solar panels receive sunlight and generate electricity. The battery is charged by the charge controller and the electrical energy is stored in the battery. When it was dark, the solar panel stopped charging. The charging controller turns on the light source (multi-cycle variable power reduction can be designed as needed), monitoring and WiFi to ensure that the device operates normally for 24 hours. Smart 30 watt led solar street light are not only street lights, but also the interface of smart cities. The biggest difference between smart 30 watt led solar street light and ordinary 30w solar street light is that smart 30w solar street light are more intelligent. Intelligent 30w solar street light can emit light all over the body, or they can be adjusted freely like neon lights. In special festivals, it becomes colorful. In addition, it changes color as the density of traffic volume changes, and serves as an alarm. Each smart street light is equipped with a single-light controller, which can collect technical parameter information and adjust the power in combination with the flow of people and vehicles to achieve better energy-saving effects.Smart 30w solar street light are equipped with monitoring probes for public security and traffic management, and can also monitor road traffic and public safety in real time. The super-large led display on the back of the street lamp can also scroll public information such as weather forecast and display the value of PM2. 5 that is currently monitored. A touch screen is set on the part of the light pole base at the intersection. Pedestrians can directly query information such as geography, sightseeing places, and commercial shopping through the touch screen above. News published by the government, notice to the police, and public service advertisements can also be displayed on the touch screen. Some 30w solar street light poles also integrate broadcasting functions. When the crowd is dense, the display will give an early warning prompt, and the brightness of the street light will change accordingly. After the emergence of intelligent 30w solar street light, the "shared lamp pole" as a composite utilization device is conducive to reducing the repeated construction of urban lamp poles, avoiding the confusion of many lamp poles on both sides of urban roads, especially intersections, and effectively saving urban ground and space resources . The necessary electric energy is converted from clean and non-polluting solar energy, without the use of ordinary public network power, no consumption of fossil raw materials, and no emission of harmful gases such as carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide. Today, the environmental crisis is becoming serious. To promote the application of solar energy and other new energy power generation It is of strategic significance for energy saving and emission reduction, improving the environment, and ensuring the sustainable development of society.I am considering a solar panels. How can I tell if my area gets enough solar energy a year to be worthwhile? At your latitude, photovoltaic will probably be iffy, but it's worth checking the nrel site that the other person posted. By the way, are not you close to that cheap source of Hydro, Niagara Falls? There's a good chance of solar hot water being a good deal for you, though. Yes, it can heat in the winter, and yes, some systems can tolerate a hard freeze. You would need to check with a local installer to get an opinion.how do i cost-effectively use solar energy to provide light at night?the main low in fee thank you to grant gentle with photograph voltaic power is to place in a sky-gentle and open the curtains. in case you pick for to proceed to grant gentle at nighttime, you could choose a photograph voltaic cellular with a "deep-cycle" battery and occasional voltage lights furnishings. LED variety lights furnishings will draw much less power than universal incondesents. this can be the direction to take.

In rural infrastructure construction, solar street light have also been installed on both sides of rural roads. Today, solar street lights have become the main force of rural road lighting. In order to ensure the smooth implementation of rural street light installation, the following three requirements should be noted when installing rural roads. Firstly, the quality requirements of the light source. The service life of general solar street light sources is 3-4 years, and the warranty period of light sources produced by regular manufacturers is 3 years. In normal use, it is necessary to ensure the heat dissipation of the solar street light source, which can effectively extend the service life of the solar street light source. Secondly, to ensure the stability of solar street light work. Solar street light will not suddenly extinguish during normal use. If this phenomenon occurs, it may be caused by internal circuit problems or insufficient battery power supply. Therefore, in the case of eliminating internal problems, ensure that it is rainy. The weather achieves stable lighting. When the light is good, there must be no obstructions on the solar panel to affect its absorption of light energy.Thirdly, ensure the rationality of the configuration. According to the local actual situation, solar street light manufacturers must do a reasonable configuration work in the early stage of installation. While ensuring the installation cost of solar led street light, they must also ensure the good application of solar led street light in rural road lighting. The installation of solar led street light in the new countryside can only achieve good improvement of rural road infrastructure only by saving energy and reducing costs. In addition, in the installation and use of solar led street light, you should also know the following points. Solar led street light use sunlight as energy, which is converted into electrical energy and stored in a battery. At night, it is powered by the battery to emit light. Therefore, during installation, be sure to choose a place where there are no obstructions around to install the solar cell module. Regular cleaning work must be done on the battery components to ensure that the batteries can work properly. The second is that during the installation process, it is necessary to use accessories produced by regular manufacturers, otherwise a series of problems will occur during short-term use. When installing and using solar powered street lights, you can pay attention to the above points, so that the solar powered street lights can play their biggest roleWhat innovative ideas can be done with a solar street light system? The idea to use solar for street light , roof top , even big powersource are bad since all these need power back up in the evening peak load and night . Yes some people come up with ideas of battery backing which will charge in the day time and use stored power when solar is not there. The batteries available today are very expensive for storing limited charge . Their life is only 2 to 3 years . Thermal stations can be used as back up but you are spending capital for solar and thermal for the same load twice . Solar as a big power source is bad since the transmission losses are high . Solar power should be near the load center and distributed . The power back up for solar power for evening and night should be by hydro power . You can regulate the discharge of water depending on power requirement . The dams used for hydro is useful for water storage when heavy rain is there and controls flood . The water after power generation can be used for agriculture , city water supply etc .All old dams should be fitted with additional generators to use all the water released urgently along with solar power addition .The entire power generation will become green . This was done to make people who follow the Norse mythology to be easier to lead into Christianity. As Helheim was made after Christianity helped change it. The original realms were as soThis was the original list of the realms but as stated it was later changed to make it easier to convert Nordics to Christianity. As it was easy to link Ragnarok meaning the end of gods with Christianity. As the world will be born again from the fires of Surtur. Christians of old used this to convert many Vikings or Nordics into their faith as they could use this for how Adam and Eve started as only 2 humans are to survive Ragnarok. Another thing that contributed to this was that Hel daughter of Loki whom watched over the dead was doing this in the realm of Niflheim. But in order to link the bible and Norse mythology more. They changed a little in order to add the realm Hel where the dead are that are not taken to Valhalla or . when originally they went to Niflheim as Hel resided there. others who died in battle or not of age or sickness went to Valhalla located in Asgard or Folkvang in Vanaheim. So other then the changes do to different religions leaking in these were the original nine realms. So in turn the answer is no Dwarves and Dark Elves are not the same. they were mixed together to be able to add in the realm of Hel.

Edit: If it is the kind that just uses rechargeable AA batteries or similar then they can also be charged in a regular charger outside of the light.4. where/whose are the best solar lights to buy?Himin Solar has many solar lights, including street lights, lawn lights, flashlights etc5. 10 ways to brighten up your garden in winterWith a little imagination and creativity, it's easy to add interest to your garden in the winter months. For the greatest impact, concentrate efforts on a few key areas that you see on a daily basis. These might include beds and pots close to the house, as well as the front garden, which you walk through every day. We've rounded up some of the best ideas to inspire you. Many require little effort and some are great value for money too. So, whether you step outside or look from your window, embrace winter and enjoy your garden at every opportunity. Brighten it up with simple lighting In winter, we often come home in the dark and miss seeing the garden altogether. Outdoor lighting can bring it back into play and transform the view from windows that would otherwise be dark, reflective panes. Try a few tea lights in clear jam jars to add seasonal twinkle for special occasions and solar lights to provide a few hours of decorative light. Fairy lights are fun draped in a tree and there's a wide range of lighting kits on offer that are quick and easy to install. Be sure to switch lighting off before going to bed, to minimise disruption to wildlife. Even just one piece of evergreen topiary will add interest to a pot or bed and hold an area together in winter. Formal shapes such as balls, pyramids and cubes work well, but if you like a more relaxed style, then the trend for looser 'cloud-pruned' and organic topiary shapes may suit you. Box and yew are traditional plant choices, but other small-leaved evergreens, such as Ilex crenata, phillyrea, Lonicera nitida and privet, clip well. For instant impact, you can buy ready-made, but more costly, topiary - expect to pay around 25 for a 30cm box ball. There are many fabulous winter flowering shrubs that deliver rich fragrance, such as chimonanthus, daphnes, mahonias, sarcococca, and viburnums. If they are tucked away at the back of borders, they will get overlooked and be under-appreciated. Plant them instead where their delicious scents can readily be enjoyed, such as close to the back door, in the front garden or beside a regularly used path. Many of these shrubs are happy in pots, so can be moved to centre stage for winter, then shifted to a less prominent position over the summer. Pots are the best way to add a seasonal splash of colour just where you need it. Opt for plants that look good together, such as cyclamen, heathers, hellebores, pansies and variegated ivy. In a large pot, add a shrubby evergreen plant for a bit of backbone, such as a rosemary or sarcococca. At this time of year, all these plants are available in garden centres in small pots, making it easy to mix and match. Warm up with a fire pit or brazier To use your garden on winter evenings, you need to make it as warm and comfortable as possible. There are some great braziers and fire pits on the market these days, which are ready to go and can be placed on the patio for people to huddle around. Most of us spend more time indoors over winter, so it really pays to have attractive views from your windows. Without redesigning your garden, consider what you can tweak to improve the composition. It's amazing what a bit of seasonal rearranging can do. Think about relocating anything attractive that is readily moveable, such as pot displays and garden ornaments, so they can be clearly seen from the windows. Or remove a few of the lower branches of a tree to reveal a view of something eye-catching beyond. Get creative with flexible twigs and weave them into an eye-catching feature. You can buy long lengths of hazel or colourful willow by the bundle, or perhaps you have a plant that can be coppiced? Then bend, twist and weave the stems together to create interesting shapes. Simple woven twiggy balls look great dangling from trees, or make something large and abstract - a representation of an animal such as a deer or an oversized rabbit? Use galvanised wire to link sections together. They wo not last forever, but they are a great project for children. There's nothing better than a project that enhances the garden visually and benefits wildlife. Bug hotels can be simple or fancy, and of any size. Think nooks and crannies. Small holes make ideal hibernating homes for ladybirds and lacewings, so cut bamboo canes into short lengths with the hollow ends exposed. Set them into an old wooden box, or forget the frame and simply tie them into a small bundle. Leftover lengths of wood can be drilled with holes to do the same job, and if placed on the ground then beetle larvae will feed on the decaying dead wood. Perk things up with a splash of paint Introducing permanent colour into a garden through planting alone can be difficult, but painting or staining will add instant colour just where you need it to set off plantings or act as a backdrop. A wash of a water-based colour on large terracotta pots is not permanent, but will jazz things up for a few months. Rendered walls can be painted, while wooden fences and structures such as obelisks or pergolas are best stained, as it's easier to re-apply. Think about which colours would work best in your plot and play around with them. There's a whole range of plants that hold their grey or silvery foliage all winter, fitting the season perfectly. These include: silver bush (Convolvulus cneorum), a compact, spreading shrub with shiny leaves that look as if they've been spray painted; Artemisia 'Powis Castle', with its soft, ferny, pale-silver foliage; and Helictotrichon sempervirens, a grey, arching evergreen grass. They all look great together in a large pot for seasonal interest and can then be transplanted into the garden next spring to provide interest for years to come.
What Is the Market for Solar Street Light Lazada in China?
According to relevant estimates, the total number of existing street lights in China is about 100 million (also estimated at 200 million), and it is growing at a rate of 20% per year. If this billion street lights can be converted into 60 million 250-watt street lights, Assuming that all 60 million street lights are converted into solar street light lazada, a total of 15 million kilowatts of power can be saved. Assuming that each street lamp works 12 hours a day, it will save 65.7 billion kWh of electricity in one year. The Three Gorges Hydropower Station generated a total of 61.603 billion kWh of electricity in 2007. Therefore, the energy saved by changing all the street lights in the country to solar street light lazada will exceed the annual power generation of a Three Gorges Hydropower Station. This is an extremely alarming number. We must know that the total investment of the Three Gorges Project exceeds 180 billion yuan, plus more than 40 billion of transmission and distribution projects totaling more than 220 billion yuan. And there are more than one million immigration issues, plus many unpredictable issues about the ecological environment. So, how big is the market capacity of China's solar street light lazada? According to the Taiwan Optical Industry Technology Development Association, the global LED street lamp market size will reach USD 1.04 billion in 2008, and the Chinese market will account for approximately USD 560 million. The number of LED street lights will reach 500,000. It is expected that in 2009, the global LED street lights will rise sharply from 900,000 this year to 2.1 million, and the penetration rate will exceed 1%. In 2010, the global LED street light market size will grow to 4.4 million, and the penetration rate will increase to more than 2%. Based on past growth rates, it is assumed that China will still increase by more than 20% in 2009, reaching at least 600,000. If the high-pressure sodium lamps originally used 250 watts of electricity each, the total power consumption would reach 150,000 kilowatts. After being converted to solar street light lazada, not only these electrical energy will be saved, but also a considerable amount of solar energy. Assume that the LED street light only needs 100 watts each, and the required solar panel is about 4 times the power, which is 400 watts. 600,000 units require 240,000 kilowatts of solar panels. It has already far exceeded the total amount of current solar panels. In fact, the entire street lamp market in China is huge, with 17 million installed in 2007 alone. Of course, most of them are ordinary AC high-pressure sodium lamps, not solar street light lazada. If the total number of street lights installed in 2009 can reach 20 million, and all use led street light with solar panel, the total power of the required solar panels will reach 8 million kilowatts. The NDRC's task of 1.8 million kilowatts by 2020 can be completed 4.4 times over the next year. And in three years, its total power will exceed 24 million kilowatts, far exceeding the total installed capacity of the Three Gorges Hydropower Station (22.5 million kilowatts) caused by 18 years.More importantly, the development of led street light with solar panel does not require the government to concentrate such huge human, material and financial resources, and it does not require immigration to millions, and there is no concern about ecological environment. As long as the power of local governments at all levels can carry out. And this does not require additional input from governments at all levels, because these street lights are already planned, but they are just replacing the original high-pressure sodium lights with led street light with solar panel·RELATED QUESTIONWhich custom lighting design manufacturers would you choose to work with (as in, your preferred list of custom lighting design manufacturers for new projects, renovations, and/or construction of a new home and/or commercial property) and why?Residential and commercial lighting are different products. For Solar Street light, How to calculate the rating for LEDs used, battery and the solar module itself? It's a difficult thing to calculate. You need: worse case number of hours of full sun per day Number of hours the batteries have to run the lights on days without sun. The problem is, you can have perhaps 3 days without sun due to a storm. that means the batteries have to power the light for that number of hours. And then when you get, say, 6 hours of sun, the solar panels have to be powerful enough to recharge that bank of batteries in that time. So, you have to set all of these parameters, else you wind up with several hundreds of watts of solar panel for a 40 watt light and a huge battery. Take an example. An ordinary auto battery can store about 1 kW-hour of energy. To operate the 40 watt light for 70 hours, means you need a 2800 kW-hour of storage, or 3 auto batteries. To recharge that 2800 kW-hours in 6 hours, you need 500 watts of solar panel. And that does not count losses. .
Photoshop and Lightroom for Beginner Photographers
When I first started to take my photography seriously, I wasnt sure if I needed to go to the trouble of using a post-processing software to finish my photos. But, when I eventually signed up for Photoshop, and decided to learn something useful about it, I was hooked.Thats one of the problems with using such a masterpiece of computer software. You get hooked quickly and forget why youre using it. There are so many options about whats possible with Photoshop that instead of processing a photo for light and darkness, maybe a little colour balance and thats it, you can become mesmerised by the array of ideas about what used to be called trick-photography.This isnt a tutorial, so there are no step for step procedures described here. At the end of the article there is a link that takes you through to a really good tutorial on retouching a portrait. Its more of an introduction and warning about how to keep your focus on photography rather than becoming beguiled by the possibilities, then end up becoming an image editor. All those possibilities, HDR to make your photo look so intense, colour adjustments that were never possible before, isolating parts of an image so that you can adjust, remove, or simply darken just a small corner of the photo. It all adds up to a lot of time and energy, followed by over interest in how to manipulate a photograph instead of time spent behind the camera where you should be learning as much as possible about photography. It took me a while before I could get my perspective on using software to process my photos, then it occurred to me that what we are doing in Lightroom is more or less the same procedure that film-photographers do in the darkroom.Getting back to basics and making sure that I spend more time concentrating on good camera abilities to get the best possible shot I can, helps me to spend less time mucking about in Photoshop. If youre just starting out, or are already a photographer who knows that you spend too much time with post-processing, here are a few tips about your approach to using image software. These days when you pay the monthly fee for Photoshop, you get both Lightroom and Photoshop, plus a couple of other options for processing video with it. Its a big package, and as a photographer you dont need half of it.Your camera can do everything you want it to do, if you have learned how to control it properly. Always work in Manual mode and keep learning, and watching how the slightest adjustment can make an enormous difference to the outcome.Use Lightroom to adjust light and darkness, sharpen areas of the image if needed, then take it across to Photoshop.Photoshop is more powerful and doesnt slow down the longer you are working in it. Many of the functions in Lightroom are also in Photoshop, except they are more accurate and precise. If you dont like Lightroom, try to open each image in RAW Image first, youll discover that the options are similar to LR and you can then quickly open the image in Photoshop avoiding the heaviness that Lightroom seems to experience. When you start using Photoshop or similar for the first time, the first things that you should really learn about are Layers. Using layers can save you time when you make a mistake its really like a transparency that you work on and lay over the original photograph. If you make a mistake on an adjustment, instead of trying to jiggle it into looking like you want, delete the layer and start a fresh one on top of the others that you have.Best Approach to Learn the Best TechniquesLearning about post-processing a photograph can become an intensive hobby in itself. Read as much as possible, there are some great books to be found on the subject, just be sure that they are very up to date and relevant to the latest versions. Watch videos you will find top quality tutorials all over the internet which you can bookmark and listen to a bit at a time, and again and again.Always practice a procedure on Photoshop as you learned it, there are a multitude of ways to achieve the same effect. Its a complex programme, and as you begin to get a grip of it you will realise that it isnt all about just pushing a button here and there and seeing the same results again and again. Its a versatile programme that has been carefully developed by passionate image makers over the years. There are several ways to adjust light and darkness no matter whether you are working on a Black & white photo or colour.Protect your original photo by creating a copy immediately on starting work. The work you do is often destructive to the image layer, so you dont want to work on your original image at all.If you stick to the basics you will discover that the various methods open to you for adjusting light and darkness ( contrast and brightness) offer the ability to become more accurate in shifting things in minute detail.Thats one of the subtleties of photographic processing software, the ability to do things your own way once you have grasped the various methods.Try increasing brightness and then raise the contrast and see how intense your photo becomes. This is often missed by beginners who try to lower the light and contrast to get solid tones.Understanding how to use procedures in image software will lead to better skills than simply believing that their is a series of buttons to click to get an effect. Dont miss out on the possibilities that come with proper understanding.Thats it, take it one step at a time, and be patient about everything, then youll get there faster. Here is a video tutorial that I totally recommend for you on processing a portrait all of the techniques involved can transfer to any type of subject in photography·RELATED QUESTIONI installed a solar post light in my backyard-?change a bigger power bulb
